Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CiteRank ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

CiteRank provides AI citation tracking and optimization services. We monitor how AI language models cite and represent your brand, analyze citation accuracy, and provide tools to improve your AI visibility across OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, and Google AI.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for safeguarding the password and for all activities that occur under your account.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service
  • One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one account
  • You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to harm, threaten, or harass others
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CiteRank and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

CiteRank offers paid subscription plans with a free trial period. By subscribing to a plan, you agree to the following:

Billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the billing cycle you select
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe. CiteRank does not store your credit card details
  • You are responsible for all applicable taxes
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days' prior notice. Existing subscriptions will be honored at their current rate until the end of the current billing period

Free Trial

  • New accounts may include a 14-day free trial with access to all features. No credit card is required to start a trial
  • At the end of the trial, your account will be downgraded unless you subscribe to a plan

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support
  • Upon cancellation, your paid features remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • After your subscription ends, your account will be downgraded. Your data will be retained for 30 days, after which it may be deleted

Refund Policy

  • Monthly subscriptions: No refunds for partial months. You may cancel to prevent future charges
  • Annual subscriptions: A pro-rated refund may be issued within the first 30 days of an annual subscription if you are unsatisfied with the Service. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable
  • Refunds required by applicable law will be honored regardless of this policy

Failure to Pay

If payment fails, we will notify you and provide a grace period to update your payment method. Continued failure to pay may result in suspension or downgrade of your account.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI model responses or that optimization efforts will result in improved AI visibility.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL CITERANK BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
